This is an original oil landscape painting
This is an original oil landscape painting inspired by Scotland's finest mountain Liathach.
Liathach is a mountain in the Torridon Hills, in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland. It stands between Loch Torridon and the neighbouring mountain Beinn Eighe. The mountain is a ridge running east–west, with several peaks, and its upper half is made up of many steep rocky terraces.
Painting cliffs and mountains is one of my obsessions recently; combining them with the beauty of the ocean and lakes brought a different kind of meaning to me. My aim with this painting was to make it feel dramatic and at the same time, my emphasis was on the reflection of the mountain in the lake. I was thinking about the parallel world. A reality or world that exists simultaneously with ours, but independent of it.
I use the highest-grade archival materials in creating this artwork to ensure that this painting is ready to withstand the ages. All of my Originals come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. The painting is unframed, it is wired in the back on the stretcher bars and ready to hang.
