This picture was painted from life at the London Atelier as part of the full time diploma.
When I was picking a model to sit for this portrait Lia really stood out to me because of her eyes. They were large and expressive and I wanted my portrait to have a hint of a Pre-Raphaelite painting.
The portrait was selected to be part of the 2017 Royal society of Portrait painters exhibition at the Mall Galleries.
The frame is dark oak 2cm wide, 3cm deep and is a simple square shape.
