I first saw this Bolivian Sodalite on an Instagram post from my Stone Supplier in Canada (Read “Rock Pusher”!). Right away I knew what this 1000 pound block wanted to be. This shape is a superellipsoid. That is a mathematical formula for rounding over the corners of a cube. Of course I also hollow it out so it only weighs 122 pounds when finished. Could this color be part of my blue period?
