Original artwork description:
Letting Go is an acrylic abstract textured expressive painting on cradled wood. The name is very fitting, as I began this painting in a completely different way. It started as a landscape but I was painting from my head and not my heart, wondering what others would think. That never works :) So in frustration I painted over it in black. I instantly felt better and then the breakthrough happened. Now I love a black underpainting and I will be reminded to paint what I feel not what I think is 'sellable'. Art is all about how it makes you feel and my hope is this painting makes you feel good too!
