The Queen's Gambit is an American streaming television drama miniseries starring Anya Taylor-Joy based on Walter Tevis's 1983 novel of the same name. It was created by Scott Frank and Allan Scott.
The series was realized through a lot of interesting shots in vintage style. Inspired by these shots, I realized the painting in my own way. I used lots of patterns to express the period when the story took place.
The painting is filled with blue tones in contrast with some red details to create a color balance. To emphasize the theme of the game of chess I also used a pattern representing the chessboard in the right corner of the picture and the chessboard on the piano.
