I grew up in a time when kids ran around outside, riding bikes after school and getting home just in time for dinner. The first warm day was a good enough reason to jump on our bicycles and go for a nice long ride into the rural area near home. These pleasant memories inspired the painting. This artwork captures the details of the spokes, crank, pedals and other mechanical parts adding to it my unusual style and unconventional use of bold colors, contrast and composition. This painting has an aqua blue bike with yellow, green and purple details over top a reddish background. It's unframed on stretched canvas finished off with painted edges. All hardware attached and ready to hang.
