This is a nice size for small expressionist moment on paper. I find it easy to work out ideas, calculate the overall effect and see how to advance the project. And the figure is a good subject… the lines are always fluid, the challenge here is to make the ladies blend in yet stand out in an even more fluid abstract background.
The close up pictures are to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting. Then there’s the work in progress, pictures taken from the film clips, and me with the painting for perspective.
