‘LESVOS STUDY’ is an acrylic painting 28x20 cms on 300gms canvas paper. It is presented in a white card mount 35x28cms. The painting can be transferred to a larger mount if preferred. Please see the pictures where the painting is shown in a glazed frame 56x45cms and can be purchased at an increased shipping cost, if preferred. ‘’Lesvos Study’ is inspired by the contrast in light and shadow when the sun starts to recline. The location is Molyvos on the island of Lesvos. A walk through the olive grove to a beach . Hazy heat mist over the Aegean, light reflecting off the water and the quiet presence of sun worshipers are reference points in this painting. This is an attempt to capture an ephemeral, intimate moment and give presence to a physical reality.
