Leopard - wildlife painting - Big Cat Picture_x000D_ _x000D_ 12x15_x000D_ _x000D_ If you ever see a leopard on safari it’s regarded as very lucky. I was lucky to see one and it’s majesty and lonely figure is something to behold. It’s alertness and constant need to be on guard I aimed to capture this in his eyes. I try to concentrate on what I think would be the emotion of the animal rather than anything technical. There are lots of brilliant wildlife artists and I think I suit best concentrating on the thoughts of the animal. I hope that comes across. I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement. I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.
