I fell in love with orchids on a trip to Costa Rica. They are seductive and bold and yet have little scent. I did a number of canvases of Orchids from different perspectives. This painting is one of three of a "Leopard Prince" orchid. All true botanists, excuse any errors! The painting is varnished and ready to hang, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Materials used:
12 oz. cotton canvas stretched over a 1.5"x 2" wooden frame. Oil paint over acrylic size. Damar Varnish finish.
