I live close to the sea and often I observe the sailing boats gliding on the water. I wanted to paint an abstract painting, but once finished it reminded me of a catamaran in the middle of the blue sea.

This painting has multi layers of acrylic paint on canvas making this work highly textural. You can see the traces of some pigments that I used and didn’t mix too much with the binder, so it formed some little colorful stripes on the paint, what makes the surface more interesting, gives it movement like glittering wavy water.
The canvas is stretched over professionally made wooden stretcher bars.
The sides are painted so the art work is ready to hang.
This painting comes signed with a letter of authenticity by the artist and it will be shipped stretched in a cardboard box.
