For me returning regularly to the coast feels a necessity and it feels good for the soul, hence the title Left My Soul There. It's my spiritual home. For me this painting portrays hope and happiness. I hope that the viewer will make their own impressions. I've worked on this over a number of days building up layers and creating expressive marks with palette knives and brushes. This painting has Paynes grey painted edges and is ready to hang.
