A painting from my favorite greek island, Lefkas! Lefkas is a part of the Ionian islands that are known for its beautiful clear turquoise water and swimming in it is like nothing I've ever seen. On this particular day I was swimming in the sea along the Milos beach alone for an hour before any other tourists came - completely alone, the only one in water on the whole beach. The water was completely still, clear and warm and this was such a wonderful experience I still sometimes dream about it.

I'm definitely going back there this autumn but until then I wish to still enjoy it with conveying my experience with paintings. This painting conveys my feelings from when I saw the beautiful water, right before going in!

I otherwise also love surrounding myself with beach paintings and if you love ocean as much as I do, I'm sure you will as well.

Painted on acid-free sanded pastel paper with finest quality soft pastels, ensuring the painting stays the same for many decades. Suitable for galleries.
