Original artwork description:

This is an acrylic work of a scene I have visited many times whilst in Thailand. These limestone islands are part of a mountain chain that stretches all the way up through Vietnam to China. This particular island is in fact 'two' islands which I only discovered whilst swimming around them on one of my last trips.
I wanted to enhance the sunset and vivid colours to give a more surreal impression which is what remains in my memory today and represents more accurately my state of mind at the time.
The long-tail boat, iguanas and birds were added later and give the piece its title. Leaving, arriving, staying? A familiar dilemma on many paradise islands.
