LEAP INTO SUMMER

Limited edition handmade linocut print

‘Leap into Summer’ is one of a series of eight colour linocut prints of summer seascape scenes.

Whilst on a beach holiday, I was struck by the contrast between the constantly changing sea, with energetic surfers and family activities below, and the stillness of the endless sky above. I thought it would be a fun challenge to transport the viewer to the heat and haze of the seaside as a series of linocut seascapes.

Materials used:

Created using two panels of Japanese vinyl linocut, printed by hand, using a Beevers hydraulic press with blended relief inks onto Heritage 335gsm paper.
