Description: The bold architectural design of the Scripps Memorial Pier draws you in like a magnet. A rare Southern California thunderstorm had passed through the area earlier in the morning and a thick layer of clouds hung low in the sky. I opted for a long exposure to give the water and sky a softer, painterly look, while also providing some balance with the hard surfaces of the pier. Looking through this tunnel is like peering into another world, leaving only our imagination to create something new and even more breathtaking.
