"Le refuge du misanthrope" is the first opus in the "Chrysalis" series, dedicated to retreat and solitude with a view to future fulfillment. This lyrical abstract canvas, essentially blue, invites us to calm and serenity. It's a fetus, a cocoon, the refuge of a soul in the making.

It was painted in March 2023 on linen canvas using high-quality Leroux colors.
Signed lower right and dated and signed on the back.

This is a large abstract painting and it have to be sent rolled in a tube. This method is especially safe, and provides lower shipping costs as well. Rolled works can be easily stretched and eventually framed by a local framer upon arrival.
