In Greek mythology, Galatea is one of the Nereids (sea nymphs), daughter of Nereus and Doris. She lives on the shores of Sicily. Her name means "with skin as white as milk" (derived from γάλα / gála, meaning "milk").
The CalbinoOz were awarded the jury prize in the Sculpture category at the 28th edition of the Salon des Arts de Chambourcy.
Materials: dried calabash, surfine wood cellulose, blown glass, natural wool, natural leather laces, nails, nature and mother-of-pearl effect acrylic paint, protective varnish.
