Le Kremlin-Bicêtre is a commune alongside Gentilly and the southern side of the city of Paris, most known for the Bicêtre Hospital and its' enlightened treatment of the mentally ill.
In the picture, a young lady attends to her mobile phone as she stands before some residential housing. The French have a saying, “Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.” The more things change the more they stay the same, and the picture shows a maid in conversation as she stands on the village green; a description fitting a medieval scene. The motivation, the hopes and dreams of mademoiselle in 1520 or 2020 would be the same.
This is an original relief print pulled from an engraving cut in rubber. The edition is 10 prints only. Please feel free to contact me to put a question or make a remark.
