In this painting, JL Lacroix illustrated a gatekeeper with a poetic touch in a symbolic way. JL Lacroix has created several paintings about the guardians –the Guardian, the Guardian of the feelings, the Guardian of the storm, the Guardian of the sticks, and here the Guardian of the entrance made on wood and also on mail-art enveloppe, “Le gardien de l’Entrée (mail art)”.
For the artist, this theme evokes something deep and protective, and he has declined it in a variety of styles, formats and materials, including mail-art, welded-steel and mixed-media sculptures (all online).
