This watercolour depicts the well-known Canal du Midi on a misty autumn morning. Inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996 it connects the Atlantic ocean to the Mediterranean sea. I made this watecolour in-situ on a Saunders Waterford 300g paper near the village of Colombiers in Southern France. I was interested in the misty atmosphere of this autumn morning and in the reflections of sky and trees in the water. It is sold framed and ready to hang. The inside dimensions of the mount are 40x30cm.
