Original artwork description:

Recent very hot days and my dog Spot lazing about in the sun all day brought on this collage.
I have made this collage on a lovely French vintage linen fabric. I started by sponging on the background colours of green and blue gouache using a sponge with lots of holes in it so it created this nice irregular background effect. I have painted the tree trunks on using gouache and the tree crowns are made from a lovely flowery fabric which I cut into circles and stitched on. The hammock is made from hessian which has been stitched on aswell as Spotty Dog which is made of a lovely creamy linen fabric. The flowers and leaves are different bits of cotton fabric and felt. All individually stitched on.
I have stitched the title of the collage and my signature onto the front of the painting.
This collage is made for framing and it is sold un-framed.
