Original artwork description:

Always struck by how motorcyclists are like the modern knights of the road, was inspired by a series of photos I took and memories of British SuperBikes at Brands Hatch at the start of the season 2011.
The iconic colours of the Swan Yamaha team that Michael Laverty joined for the 2011 season set-off by the bright greens of his helmet as they flashed by. He took the lead on the 9th lap of the first round but then crashed. Bouncing back in the second round to a fourth place.

The painting is unframed with dark aubergine painted box edge, 61 x 61 x 3.5 cm, and can be hung horizontally or on the diagonal for a different look.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint with some gloss medium, on 3.5 cm deep stretched canvas, gesso primed.
