This is an atmospheric pastel showing the Lavender fields which are growing way into the distance. You can almost smell the Lavender in the early evening sun. The sun caught the edge of the mountain range and painted them glowing yellow as the sun disappeared from view.I sketched this when I was in France and completed this pastel in my studio when I got home. this . This breathtaking view caught my eye. The colours are magnificent purples and violets with sunflower fields adding to the rich colours. The hills and mountains stretch way into the distance. This pastel is mounted on card ready to frame.
