Original artwork description:

Large painting of Laurel bushes. Painted over a long period during the covid lockdowns in my garden. I was very inspired by Monet when he began working from his own garden especially his water lilies.

Painted with thick paint in crusty impasto in places to give vibrant textures that pop out like individual leaves and twigs.

I liked the idea of painting a zoomed in landscape, so rather then paint a large landscape view I would paint a large painting of a small part of a landscape...in this case an entangled Laurel bush.
