MY largest painting! This 250x100cm painting is my abstract impressionist view of the fields around my home in rural Kent, south-east England.
Where I live profoundly affects my work, I follow the seasons, and find the colours and feel of each month seeps into my studio, adding atmosphere to my paintings. Summer sunshine, and grasses and hedgerows in slightly crazy abundance are the subject of this painting. I often have conversations with clients about their childhood memories of holidays and the countryside, I hope this artwork evokes feelings of joy, memories of beautiful days, and feelings of the sunshine on your face and a light breeze in the air.
I work with many layers of thinly applied paint, spattered, brushed, dripped and palette knifed on the canvas surface. My aim is to create a textured, complex and colourful surface.
This 250x100cm painting is strung with picture cord and ready to hang on your wall, it is unframed and has white painted edges.
