Original artwork description:

This Oil Pastel on Black Paper drawing was the view from our balcony in Room 141 at the Hermitage Hotel, Mount Cook, N.Z. I drew it “en plein air” during the late afternoon after a day of hiking, as the sun was getting lower and lighting up the peak of Mount Cook as the valleys became darker. The snow covered peaks and rock would glow with warmth as the final rays of sunlight illuminated them. This is a very beautiful part of the world and my wife and I love driving through the N.Z. countryside as it is so natural and relaxing. This particular area of Mount Cook Village is at the end of long winding country road, through spectacular scenery and is the gateway to many hiking trails and Glaciers, incredible!
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
