Artwork description:

This work represents one of five inhabited islands of the Isles of Scilly. Within the image there are uninhabited islands and rocks. These islands are very beautiful and considered an important area for wild life especially for seabirds and marine wild life. I have now completed three of these aerial type maps. they take me 2 - 4 months to complete. Because they are etchings I have to work in reverse for the work to be read correctly.

The method used is hard ground on copper plate.

Materials used:

Oil based printing ink on somerset satin paper
