I painted this a couple years ago but I didn't like the yellows in it. I've since tried a rainbow of colors and ended up with yellow, but more subdued yellows and now I'm happy with them.
The ripple of the water's edge is what compelled me to paint this scene. Thus the title. A transparent water's edge is always a challenge for me. The other challenge was the big billowy clouds. I don't normally paint clouds. They often seem very contrived but I like these.
