The ripple of the water's edge is what compelled me to paint this scene. Thus the title. The challenge of the piece was the sky. I don't normally paint billowy clouds because they intimidate me because of my painting technique. They're easy in acrylic but not so much in my flat layers of color. The stark yellows make me feel like summer is ending so this must be the last wave. Such as it is.

This artwork absorbs direct light (artificial or natural) and then glows at night.
