Original artwork description:

Taking advantage of the last days of this summer I went to the beach in Calpe, spent the whole afternoon on the beach, at sunset, swam to the anchor buoy, when I looked up I saw the sun in the middle of the mountains offering its last rays of light, a great glow that was fading behind the mountain, there floating I was for a few minutes recording in my memory that moment, learning the light, its way of influencing the landscape, "painting with my eyes", the backlight of the window of the boat, the glow that blurred the mountain, the light on the placid surf, the most distant planes reddened by the path of the sun’s rays. Then, when I arrived at the studio, I began to transcribe my memory note, I recreated that vanishing image that cannot be fixed for so long in a mental image, I hurried to take notes, details, memories of this moment, that repeated itself as a journey into that past memory. Afterwards, I decided on a palette to do the work on a canvas, I did not make so many detours to the act of painting on the canvas, I threw myself to represent that moment as one who throws himself into warm summer waters
