Painted en plein air (on location) at Carson Pass, California.
At 8,573 ft, Carson Pass is the highest pass crossing the Sierra that is open in the winter. With lovely Hope Valley on the east side and open vistas on the west, it is an incredibly scenic drive and worth incorporating in your visit to Lake Tahoe.

Materials:
Oil on oil-primed Claessens Belgian linen on 1/16 MDF archival art panel, the back of the panel finished with melamine that prevents warping and deterioration. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.
