Original artwork description:

This painting is inspired by different forms of art - using film and painting references.
The composition is based on a combination of images from Hitchcock's, 1954 mystery thriller, 'Rear Window' (starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly) and motifs inspired by Pop Art paintings. The work portrays a couple drinking, in close proximity but not acknowledging each other. The title 'Last Orders' relates to pub closing time and along with the 'Exit' sign, visible in the painting, hints at the end of an evening or perhaps the end of a romance. The work references relationships, time, habits and claustrophobic interior spaces, but the artist leaves the viewer to decide their own storyline...
