Original artwork description:

This watercolor represents the village of Larringes in the French Alps. It is located in Haute-Savoie on the Gavot plateau above the southern shore of Lake Geneva and the city of Evian. There are three horizontal planes in this work: the sky, the village and the snow in the foreground which partly reflects the blue-grey color of the sky. The church steeple, the bare trees on the left and a fence poking out from the snow add a vertical note. The snow-covered roofs contrast with the ocher or brown wooden walls of the houses. This artwork, made in-situ, is perfectly framed and ready to hang.
