Painted in 2013, this small painting started off life as a play with composition. The incorporation of bright light, dark shadows and an electric sky adds a significant emotional edge to the piece.
The location is ambigious, created from my imagination, though it bears a resemblance to the North East of Scotland where I grew up. In a sense, the default landscape in my head is that of that area.
