Original artwork description:

September in Holland. It comes with the oranges, pinks and purples of autumn. No leaf has yet fallen but the light is changing and the days become shorter. This is an oilpainting of a lane of trees very near by my studio, in a very Dutch landscape. I tried to catch that strange light in the late afternoon. And the feeling of being very small when you look up at the tall trees. I tried to work like the impressionists, with loose touch of the brush and using expressive colours.

To protect my paintings from UV-light and dust I varnish my paintings with at least 2 coats of matt varnish.
