Original artwork description:

Oil and acrylic paint
We all have a universal connection with nature and I wish to bring people closer to the raw emotion that it provides us and consequently put people in different states of mind by putting emphasis on what’s already around us, reconnect them with relatable sentiments. I bring people along with me on the journey I have taken and experience the same sights, smells and sounds that inspire me.

The transience of life is what makes every moment valuable. I reflect this in my art, paintings change during the day according to the light, depth and even orientation. An intricate play of shadows and light adds to a sense of the painting being alive. The first few moments of a painting are the most intense as it is defined by bold colors and harsh lines, slowly distilling it into a softer strokes and more refined use of colors. The edges are also painted from the beginning.

Pushing the boundaries with new techniques, combinations of colors and different mediums is important to capture all emotions. I always use oil paint as a starting point however as the smell of oil paint is evocative itself and allows me create the richest texture and depth of color.

This painting uses professional quality paints with a high density of pigments on a linen canvas and has a textured effect as a result of the technique employed. The edges are also painted from the beginning.

Materials used:

oil paint and acrylic paint.
