One of my absolute favorite trees. The cottonwood is special. It sings in the wind. It glows vibrant in the fall. It cools you in the hot sun. One of the few native trees out here on the plains of North Dakota. When I paint trees, 9 times out of 10 it will be a cottonwood.
This cottonwood is painted on a cottonwood leaf. Red scoria badlands in the distance. Old fence running along side of it.
Actual leaf painting is 4.5 inches by 4 inches. It is preserved in a 8 x 10 inch shadow box frame. It is signed on the front and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Framed and ready to hang.
