Abstract watercolor painting of a basalt quarry. The painting is done on Hahnemühle 450g watercolor paper using watercolors, gouache, watercolor pencils and ink.
In June, I was on a painting weekend. While looking through the drawings of a basalt quarry, which my friend Jupp had done, we thought that they were a good basis for a next step using colors. So, I started to do a combined drawing and gouache painting inspired by Jupps work. I think it was a good idea...
