Until I visited Kamchatka, I had no idea that there could be landscapes on Earth similar to Martian ones. Or any other landscapes from fantasy worlds.
Perhaps this picture of the landscape is caused by a large number of volcanoes and geysers.
But even without volcanoes, the nature of Kamchatka is fascinating. I had no idea that the ground could be covered with a dense carpet of various tall grasses and berry bushes.
The lush bloom of some flowers also struck me. For example, irises. After all, it was in September. Where I live, in the Urals, at this time, the flowers are already "falling asleep" for the winter.
Probably, the natural rhythms in Kamchatka are slightly shifted.
I decided to paint several pictures in different techniques on the theme of Kamchatka's landscapes. I hope it will be interesting not only for me.
And here is the first landscape. It is executed on canvas with oil pastels.

This landscape is painted with oil pastels on canvas.
I did this artwork with oil pastels. The base is not traditional for pastels - this is a canvas. I fixed the pastels on canvas in a particular way, first "baked" with hot air, then varnished. Therefore, it is not necessary to cover the painting with glass.
