Urban architecture and landscape are at the centre of Marilina Marchica’s work – segmentations, individual parts, landscapes and places that when decontextualized become “another”.
Marilina’s artwork is free of recognisable forms and space becomes a receptacle for sensations where the painting material itself is the protagonist. Through these minimalist paintings, the viewer is encouraged to travel through feelings of unknown places: abandoned places of memory.
