Expressionist oil pastel painting of a village scenery - a huge tree upfront and what appears to be houses or barns in the background - directly done outdoors as the expressionists of old - located in one of London's suburb parks. It is #4 of a series of sketches done at the same time at the same location. - - - Mostly I sketch, draw and paint directly from nature, in front of a model or object - keeping this practice feeds into my work as a sculptor, printmaker and conceptual artist. Such an 'oil pastel and graphite object' breathes so much authenticity.
The very handy collection format is A4 - 21 x 29.7 cm - it's a white 80gsm paper. All reasonable efforts are made to provide a good representation of colour, however due to computer monitor limitations, some variation may occur. The second image shows a close up detail of the artwork, considering that photos cannot fully express the beauty of the actual work. - - - Thanks for clicking 'Favourite' and 'Follow' - and you may like to check one of my social media accounts (via the 'About' section) for more interesting discoveries.
