Artwork description:

The vivid green mountains on the Isle of Skye taken early in the morning when the new dawn was breaking and shooting light all across the landscape. The pools of water lit up like mirrors and the fabulous texture of these ancient hills is picked out in layers of black stone.

TITLE : Land of Giants

This area on Skye is filled with dramatic peaks, the movies BFG, Macbeth and Highlander were filmed here. A landscape of ancient times, when the earth was moving in great folds and volcanic eruptions were shaping the world. To say this is the land of giants is not just a myth and legend, nearby on our local beach we have footprints from some of the enormous dinosaurs that roamed the area hundreds of thousands of years ago.

I Love Printing!
I have been printing my own work on professional printers for over ten years. Your beautiful artwork will be Giclée printed here in my studio on Skye on fabulous Canson Baryta Matte Paper. This heavy weight paper is perfect for intensely coloured images, it is non-reflective from all angles and can be hung without the protection of glass. When used with the UV resistant non fade inks I use, it holds colour for a lifetime. Canson-Arches have been making paper for over 450 years and supplied artists like Picasso, Ingres, Miro and Warhol to name but a few. The 10 inks I use for my printing are state-of-the-art non fade Epson Ultrachrome K3 with Vivid Magenta, these give each artwork incredible depth and tone.
