Original artwork description:

This artwork painted from my own photos was inspired by the ladybirds in our garden. I particularly liked the contrast of the red against the forget-me-not blue. Painted in two stages, the background was created initially with a loose watercolour wash. Once the wash dried, the ladybird and the forget-me-not blooms were painted on with careful consideration given to the overall composition.
Painted with artist quality paints on St Cuthberts Mill watercolour paper.

Included with this artwork is an off-white mount/matt of external dimension 8"x10" ready to fit in a standard frame of the same aperture.
