Lady Liberty Leading the People was inspired by the rise of the protest movement in recent years. It depicts the Statue of Liberty leading a crowd of people from all ages and ethnicities in protest. I wanted the print to have an antique feel, so I chose to translate it into an etching using the solar plate process.
