I am constantly inspired by the beauty of this lane in Devon. The colour palette of the late autumn to early winter when the sun is low in the sky and the colours muted yet come alive in the golden last light of the day.

The Autumn light seems to have been magnificent, especially just before the sun sets. This straight lane is known as 'Ladies Plain' which is such a wonderful name don't you think? A great aunt once told me how this lane, in different times to today would of been full of people walking to Church on a Sunday morning, what a lovely walk it must of been! It is our run to and from our village, Morchard Bishop,
