Mountain ranges have always intrigued me. More so of those in the Northeastern ranges of India. They look as if they want to narrate all that they have witnessed over the centuries. Haven't they stood there silently digesting all that took place around them? In fact I sometimes feel, that the breeze that caresses the mountains trying to whisper into my ears, the untold stories, the truth that historians might have missed to record! About he wails, the misery, the laughter, the happiness of the people who lived around the hills!

The moment I found an image of the hills of Ladakh, which is a part of the northeastern range, from a free images website, I decided to paint it. And here is the result, Ladakh's mountains in watercolors.
