As a child, I often unconsciously undermined sleep to create landscapes every night. Huge flowers and small animals, living that unspecified distance from the reality of the next day that prevented me from really falling asleep ...

This work is made with mixed media on canvas (extra-fine acrylic colors, modeling paste, Japanese paper, charcoal). The background therefore has a material effect, consisting of parts in relief and engravings. The finish of the edges and their thickness allow the work to be hung unframed. The surface of the painting has a double layer of water-based satin finish Lascaux Transparentlack 3-UV varnish, which make it resistant to UV rays and the passage of time ...
