"La Poésie Des Crocus" , has been painted because lately I have been lucky, I have often been invited for hiking in the mountain, I went on trails which go through fields, so I have enjoyed beauty, flowers, plants and trees. During the spring the colours are blooming all over, this is a reminiscence of what I can see, what I have seen, a mixture with my imagination and my reality as usual.

This series of paintings is called "Flirtation with reality".
It's an evocation of nature and countryside, an evocation of natural landscapes, I made the realism more obvious than in the other paintings, pushing further the borders between abstraction and realism.
The hues used are less flashy, less colour contrasted -even if that can still happen- (the transitions between colours are more subtle), tinted with a touch of melancholy. I want it more romantic, with a lingering feeling of nostalgia, but in a poetic way.

"La Poésie Des Crocus " is painted with acrylic on a stretched canvas (standard cotton), it is signed on the front, and will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity.
