The reality is that one lives until he dies. And the truth is, nobody wants reality. (Chuck Palahniuk)
This work is the third of a series of four, "The red room". This series deals with the theme of death. Of the difficulty and painful work of detaching ourselves from someone loved and lost. Something that cannot be believed and must be believed. We have always lived the contradiction of not believing in our own death and of being afraid of dying. But even death has its reasons. And perhaps in its dizzying complexity it is just another aspect of life.
The painting will not be available for sale from 7 to 21 November as it is exhibited by the OnArt gallery in Florence during the "Reminiscence" exhibition.
Acrylic colors on cotton canvas.
